Hey, Arianna! This IS the brother, actually, and we're doing just fine. I'm glad to see Miss Ultimate's still chugging along - I'm looking forward to seeing where you take it.
Congrats on moving out (and having the means to go about doing so)! I'm sure you'll do fine.
You mentioned before that you're up for discussing comics some time, and, though I'm still pretty new to them, I've just gotten around to creating my first subscription list. Here's what I'm getting:
Action Comics - I'm hearing that this is the better of the two primary Superman comics.
Batgirl - I have to support Gail Simone! Though I did like Stephanie Brown's Batgirl a bit more. And Barbara as Oracle... oh well.
Batman - I keep hearing great things about the "Death of the Family" arc, so I'm going to have to hunt down those back issues.
Captain Marvel - I'm a big Power Girl fan, and Captain Marvel seems like Marvel's equivalent character. I've heard great things about this series.
Justice League - Of course.
My Little Pony:FIM - A great new adaptation of the TV series. Andy Price's art is beautiful.
Supergirl - I've not heard great things about her New 52 run so far, but, now that the H'el arc has played itself out, I think it's a good time to give it a shot. There's a lot of potential in that character.
Uncanny X-Men - I honestly don't know much about the X-Men, but, with this series recently re-launching, it seems like a good time to give it a shot.
Wonder Woman - I love the art in this comic, but I'm not terribly familiar with the character. I'll have to work on collecting the back-issues (at least, the New 52 ones, for now).
Worlds Finest - Power Girl! I haven't been a big fan of Worlds Finest New 52 run, but, with a new artist and PG's old suit coming back, I have high hopes. Honestly, I'm just glad this comic exists at all. Though I'd prefer it were drawn by Amanda Conner... hopefully she makes it to a Springcon/Fallcon one day.
X-Men - An all-female X-Men group! This has a heckuva lot of potential. We'll see.
So, what do you think? Any opinions on these? What are you reading?
